Linocut is a great technique to do at home: easy to learn, with minimum equipment and a whole host of variations once you’ve got the basics. We will cover cutting tools, inks, papers and lino, and produce simple blocks looking at elements of design, different cutting techniques and inking and printing in black and white.
These classes are social, relaxed sessions aimed at all abilities. We will learn a wide variety of techniques from relief printing, screen printing, intaglio printing, dyeing and batik. Most sessions are single mornings but occasionally the technique will require two sessions so this will require both to be booked - the choice is yours!
Inks and some papers are provided. Suitable for all - experienced or not.
